I’m actually referring to how many writers are working in a vacuum. They don’t have anyone at home to bounce ideas off of, or to read the rough drafts to before considering publishing even a blog entry.
Do you support your friends and acquaintances?
I mean do you actually make comments about what they are writing when given a chance — if only a word of encouragement. It means a lot to a writer to have a feeling that their works is actually being read. Constructive criticism is also valued by many writers.
A writer’s growth is much slower without feedback on what they are doing. Perhaps those of you with living with others — or who can share what they are working on with friends and colleagues — don’t realize what it is like to write in a vacuum.
On Facebook a like can help, but a comment helps much, much, more.
