“The Gnomestead Stump” was my old blog that I kept as an online publication where I tried to publish an article a day. The articles were of an editorial nature on a broad variety of subjects.
I kept that up for at least a third of a year until untoward circumstances kept me from keeping up that schedule. (I had built up a selection of articles so that if I couldn’t write for a few days I had material to publish in the gaps.)
I haven’t written in it for a while, but I wouldn’t mind having a website for publishing editorial articles again even if not daily ones. The question is, do I just continue in “The Gnomestead Stump“, or do I create a new blog for editorial articles? If I do, do I do it on my dwpenner.ca domain which is my writing domain or here on gnomestea.com? Actually a larger question, do I copy over my articles from “The Gnomestead Stump“?
Actually the biggest question is whether to create a new blog on my dwpenner.ca domain, what to call it and whether to transfer the old posts. Tentatively it still could be The Gnomestead Stump and be gnomestead-stump.dwpenner.ca or it could be gnomestead-stump.gnomestead.com …actually to confuse matters I could have one of them forward to the other.
Decisions, decisions… I do want to get into writing more regularly and I think I would prefer to writing my own column and just sharing it onto Facebook rather than just straight making status entries on Facebook.
Revitalize it!
Revitalizing it is fine… there are advantages to continuing the Blogspot.ca version. For one thing, I can play off the hits built up on the old stories. On the other hand, if I continue writing on my own web space the articles are on my own “space”. Of course if for any reason should I stop paying for it, then it is gone… unless I do good back-ups… which I should be doing in any case.
